Loch
Ness is one mile wide, 23 miles long and 600 feet deep.
The
bottom of the loch is flat as a billiard table.
Geologists
have matched rock from one side of the loch to rock on the
other side. They theorize that the loch was a fault that
just ripped straight apart.
Although
the water looks dirty it's actually clean, it's the peat
that is suspended in the water that makes it murky. You
could drink from Loch Ness.
The
loch could fit the entire population of the Earth - THREE
TIMES OVER and still not make a ripple on the surface.
Oh
- we didn't see Nessie.
